1. Viadukt Ultramarathon

The Viadukt Ultramarathon, scheduled for November 1st, invites runners to explore the scenic Eggegebirge region near Altenbeken with an exhilarating 45-kilometer route. This race offers a unique blend of challenging terrain and breathtaking views, tracing parts of the famous 29 km Viadukt Wanderweg but extending it into an ultramarathon experience.
Participants will embark on a journey through varied landscapes, encountering several impressive viaducts along the way, which serve as landmarks throughout their run. The course is designed to be both demanding and rewarding, with runners enjoying diverse paths that wind through picturesque countryside dotted with stunning vistas.
The race begins at 8:00 AM from the Parkplatz Schwarzer Weg 1 in Altenbeken and concludes there after a maximum of nine hours. Runners will have two well-equipped aid stations to refuel – one around the halfway mark near kilometer 17,5 and another towards the end of the course at approximately kilometer 32.3.
Registration is capped at 30 participants, with an entry fee of €20 that must be paid in advance via PayPal or bank transfer by April to secure a spot. Once this payment has been made, it becomes non-refundable unless another participant can take your place for a nominal fee of €5.
While the race does not provide restrooms or showers along its route, runners will receive medals and certificates upon completion, with results published both on Race Result and in the German Ultramarathon Association's statistics. Participants are reminded to adhere strictly to environmental guidelines; leaving any litter behind can result in disqualification.
