10 km de Montigny - Course Nature & Patrimoine

Step into the heart of Montigny-lès-Metz on September 20, 2026, for the inaugural edition of the 10Km de Montigny. This trail race is more than just a run; it's an immersion in nature and heritage, designed to engage runners of all levels from beginners to seasoned athletes.
The event kicks off with a variety of distances catering to different age groups:
- A warm-up for young participants at 9:25 AM with the Éveil Athlétique race covering 800 meters.
- At 9:50 AM, children can enjoy the Course Poussins over a kilometer.
- The main event starts at 10:30 AM with the 10Km course for Cadets to Masters.
The route winds through some of Montigny's most picturesque landscapes. From the banks of the Moselle River and the Canal, to the lush Prairies Jean-Marie Pelt and the Jardin des Découvertes, runners will experience a blend of natural beauty and historical charm. The highlight is undoubtedly the Château de Courcelles, an iconic landmark that offers breathtaking views along the trail.
Beyond the scenic vistas, this race promotes health both for participants and the community at large. As part of the World Health Organization's Network of Healthy Cities in France, Montigny-lès-Metz aims to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease prevention through initiatives like the Club Cœur et Santé de Metz. For every registration fee collected, one euro is donated directly to this cause.
Registration fees are as follows:
- €6 for Cadets and Cadettes.
- €12 for all other participants.
- Free entry for children's races (Poussins) and the Éveil Athlétique event.
Participants can sign up online until midnight on September 17, or in person at Montigny-lès-Metz Municipal Swimming Pool from Thursday to Saturday during specified hours. Dossards will be distributed personally either at the swimming pool on September 19th between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, as well as 1:30 PM and 5:00 PM, or directly at Stade du Canal from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on race day.
