11. Brochterbecker Berg-Ultramarathon

The Brochterbeck Marathon and Half-Marathon events take place at the Wanderparkplatz opposite Camping Bocketal in Tecklenburg-Brochterbeck. Both races feature rugged terrain with significant elevation gains, offering runners an unforgettable challenge.
Participants can choose from a full marathon covering approximately 43 kilometers or a half-marathon spanning around 24 kilometers. The courses wind through scenic trails and wooded areas near the Brochterbecker Landpartie path, providing stunning views of the Münsterland region. Both races include steep ascents and descents, with runners experiencing over 1000 meters and 650 meters of elevation gain respectively.
The race begins at the Wetterpilz landmark before following a well-marked trail through the Dreikaiserstuhl area. Runners will encounter various terrain types, including stretches along paved roads and paths leading into dense forests. Notably, both courses feature a section near the model airfield where runners must split to either continue on Strecke A or take the left turn for Strecke B.
For safety reasons, participants are advised to bring their own hydration and nutrition as there is no official race supply station provided; water refill points at local facilities may be available but not guaranteed. The event organizers recommend using a GPS tracking device due to limited signage along the route.
Registrations close one day before the race by 6 PM unless capacity has been reached earlier, with late entries possible on race day after consultation with the organizers. Results will be published via Race Result and certificates can also be obtained through the same platform post-event.
