Join us for an exciting Saturday cycling session designed specifically for intermediate riders aged 10-16 years old. Younger cyclists are welcome too, but we kindly ask that their skill level is assessed beforehand to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. The event runs from 11am to 1pm, offering two hours of engaging activities on the bike trails. The first hour promises an energetic start as participants pedal through varied terrain, followed by a short break at noon for refreshments. Cyclists are encouraged to bring along their favorite drink and snack to keep energy levels high. Registration can be done either online or in person on the day of the event. If you prefer to book ahead, we recommend doing so before 10pm on Friday night as this is when our booking system closes for the following Saturday. When registering online, please use your child's name rather than yours and note that HHYCC members receive a £2 discount. Our club relies heavily on volunteers who contribute their time to support various aspects of our operations, including the registration desk, bike maintenance, and coaching sessions. Southwark is a district of Central London situated on the south bank of the River Thames, forming the north-western part of the wider modern London Borough of Southwark. The district, which is the oldest part of South London, developed due to its position at the southern end of the early versions of London Bridge, for centuries the only dry crossing on the river. Around 43 AD, engineers of the Roman Empire found the geographic features of the south bank here suitable for the placement and construction of the first bridge.
