Join us for an exciting cycling session designed specifically for young riders aged 10-16 years old. This intermediate-level ride takes place from 11am to 1pm and offers a fantastic opportunity for budding cyclists to enhance their skills in a supportive environment. The morning starts with high-energy training, focusing on developing speed, agility, and endurance. Riders can expect an engaging first hour filled with fun challenges that cater to the abilities of intermediate-level participants. A short break at noon allows everyone to refuel with snacks and drinks before continuing into the afternoon session. While we welcome younger riders who are eager to participate, please note that their skill level will be assessed beforehand to ensure they can safely join in on the action. Parents or guardians must use their child's name when booking online for this event. Booking is available both through our website and at the venue on the day of the ride. If you prefer to secure your spot ahead of time, we recommend doing so before 10pm on Friday night as slots can fill up quickly. Additionally, HHYCC members receive a £2 discount when booking online. Our club relies heavily on volunteers for its smooth operation. Whether it's helping at registration, assisting with bike maintenance, or contributing to coaching sessions, there are plenty of ways you can get involved and support the community. We encourage interested individuals to reach out and discuss opportunities during this event. Bring along a drink and snack to keep your energy levels up throughout the session. See you on May 1st for an unforgettable day of cycling fun!

About Southwark
Learn more about the host city, Southwark.
Southwark is a district of Central London situated on the south bank of the River Thames, forming the north-western part of the wider modern London Borough of Southwark. The district, which is the oldest part of South London, developed due to its position at the southern end of the early versions of London Bridge, for centuries the only dry crossing on the river. Around 43 AD, engineers of the Roman Empire found the geographic features of the south bank here suitable for the placement and construction of the first bridge.
