11.Rosenmontags Marathon

Celebrate the vibrant spirit of Rosenmontag with the unique and colorful Rosenmontags Marathon, set to take place on February 8, 2027. This exciting race begins at Lesumer Speerwerk, located along Am Wasser Street in Bremen.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early as the starting time is scheduled for 9:00 AM sharp. Early starts must be arranged beforehand by emailing olaf.haesler@nord-com.net. The marathon course features a total distance of approximately 37 kilometers (4 rounds at 9.2km each plus an initial prologue) and participants have six hours to complete the race or can discuss individual time limits with organizers via email.

While there are no official changing facilities or restrooms along the route, portable toilets will be provided by local dog owners' clubs. The race requires a minimum of three participants to proceed and entries must be submitted two days before the event at 6:00 PM.
Adding an extra layer of fun, runners are invited to participate in costume—whether it's extravagant or simply playful attire, creativity is encouraged! Early registrants who sign up by February 2nd can also receive a special Karnevalsorden for just €10. Those choosing not to wear costumes will incur a higher registration fee of €25.
Post-race refreshments include tea, snacks (both sweet and savory with vegan options available), cola, dark beer, and non-alcoholic alternatives. Be sure to bring your own water bottle due to the circular nature of the course for convenient hydration throughout the race.
