11th SUPER BLUE MARATHON

About the Event

The 11th SUPER BLUE MARATHON returns to World Cup Park's Peace Plaza on October 9, 2026. This inclusive event is organized by Special Olympics Korea and LOTTE with the aim of raising awareness about disabilities while promoting unity among participants from diverse backgrounds. The marathon accommodates approximately 7,000 runners across various categories: a full marathon for those seeking an endurance challenge, as well as shorter distances including 10 km, 5 km, Super Blue 5 km, and a walking category of 1.6 kilometers.
Participants begin gathering at Peace Plaza from early morning to ensure they are ready by the start time of 8:50 AM when the race begins with staggered starts for each distance group in sequence—starting with the marathon followed by the longer races down to the shorter walks and runs. The atmosphere is vibrant, filled with enthusiasm as runners of all abilities take part.
Each participant receives a range of gifts including Super Blue shoelaces, custom T-shirts, bib numbers equipped with timing chips, finisher medals, snack packages, and mobile certificates upon completion of their respective race categories. This event not only celebrates athletic achievement but also fosters community spirit through its inclusive approach to sports participation.
The scenic setting within World Cup Park offers a picturesque backdrop for the races, enhancing the overall experience as runners traverse well-marked courses amidst natural beauty and urban highlights alike.
