About the Event

The Tour de Morgat à la Nage returns for its twelfth consecutive year, organized by the ANNPC to celebrate open water swimming as both leisure and competition. This annual event caters to swimmers of all ages and skill levels, making it accessible to everyone from young enthusiasts aged 8-11 years old to seasoned competitors over 12.
The race offers three distances: a 400-meter swim for younger participants or those looking for a shorter challenge, a challenging 4.2-kilometer course that takes swimmers through the picturesque waters of Morgat Bay, and an exhilarating one-mile marathon. Each distance is designed to suit different abilities while ensuring safety remains paramount.
Participants can look forward to a comprehensive briefing at 15:45 for the shorter 400-meter race and another session at 16:00 for those tackling the longer courses. Swimmers will then make their way either by foot or swim to the historic old pier, where they'll dive off into the open sea.
The event is not just about swimming; it's also a celebration of local culture with volunteers offering delicious crepes and snacks throughout the day. The race concludes at 18:45 when podiums are awarded for each distance category, recognizing the achievements of all participants.
Safety measures include mandatory attendance at briefings to ensure everyone understands the course details and safety protocols. Swimmers must be capable of completing their chosen distances within a specified time frame; otherwise, they may not receive full support from organizers due to limited resources.
Parking is conveniently available near the event site for those traveling by car. A portion of each registration fee goes towards supporting local charities focused on combating illness in the community.
