About the Event

The Wuyuezhai Trail Challenge returns for its 12th edition on Sunday, September 6 at the Wuyuezhai National Forest Park visitor center in Lingshou County, Shijiazhuang, Hebei, with 50K, 32K, 25K, and 8K categories. Registration opens June 3 at 10:00, with early-bird pricing through June 30.
The 50K (47km actual, 2,695m gain / 2,640m descent, ITRA 2 points) starts 6:00 AM with a 12-hour cutoff; the 32K (32km, 2,343m gain / 2,310m descent, ITRA 1 point) starts 6:00 AM with a 10-hour cutoff; the 25K (25km, 2,036m gain / 2,009m descent, ITRA 1 point) starts 6:00 AM with an 8-hour cutoff; the 8K (8km, 534m gain / 522m descent) starts 9:00 AM with a 6-hour cutoff.
Twelve years running in the Taihang Mountains, Wuyuezhai is one of North China's benchmark trail races, organized by the Shijiazhuang Mountaineering Association and rooted in Wuyuezhai National Forest Park -- alpine meadows, old-growth forest, and canyon streams along a course carrying both ITRA and UTMB qualifying points, drawing runners from more than a dozen provinces every year.
