13th Annual 5K Run & Walk for Kids' Growth - Los Angeles

Join the Human Growth Foundation (HGF) in collaboration with the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and be part of a GROWing solution!

This community-friendly and leashed-dog-friendly event takes you through the beautiful Griffith Park. Designed for runners and non-runners alike, it encourages the highest level of community involvement. Participants can run or walk the 5K course—families and strollers are welcome!

By joining the 13th Annual 5K Run & Walk for Kids' Growth, you help raise awareness of childhood growth disorders and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. 

This event also raises critical funds to provide underserved children with rare growth disorders access to care and treatment. All Ages & Walks of Life Encouraged to Participate!

🏃‍♂️ RACE DAY SCHEDULE 🏃‍♀️

🕖 7:30 AM – Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup

🕢 8:00 AM – Pre-Race Warm-Up

🕗 8:15 AM – 5K Run/Walk Starts

🏅 Awards Ceremony to follow after all participants return

🎶 Live Entertainment, Food, and Refreshments will be available throughout the event.

🎟 Raffle Prizes, Display Booths, and Giveaways will be distributed during the event.

🕙 10:30 AM – Event Ends

⏱ TIMING This event will be officially timed using conventional timing methods, and the course is paved.

🔥 HEAT WARNING 

Los Angeles temperatures/humidity can be high. To stay safe, please:

✔ Drink plenty of fluids (non-alcoholic) for 48 hours before, during, and after the race.

✔ Watch for heat-injury symptoms: dizziness, no sweating, nausea, cramps, redness, incoherent speech or thoughts.

✔ Seek immediate assistance if symptoms occur. 

✔ Wear loose, light-colored clothing for comfort.

🚫 CANCELLATION POLICY

Race Management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters or emergencies). No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. Management may also alter the course and distances for safety reasons.

📸 PHOTOS & VIDEO 

Professional photographers and videographers will be capturing the event. By registering for the 5K Run & Walk for Kids' Growth, you consent to having your photo or video taken and used for HGF promotional purposes.

The 5K Run & Walk for Kids' Growth is more than a race—it's a mission. We aim to:

✔ Increase awareness of childhood growth disorders and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.

✔ Raise essential funds so that underserved children with rare growth disorders can receive care and treatment to reach their full potential.

⏰ WALK START TIME 

📍 Event Schedule
The Walk site opens at 7:30 AM, and the route begins at 8:15 AM.

🔹 Arrival Time
We recommend arriving by 7:00 AM for check-in, meeting sponsors, and getting ready for the race.

📏 Route Details
The route is 3 miles long and fully wheelchair and stroller accessible.

Welcome! We’re excited to have you join us!

✔ Stop by the Registration Tent to pick up your bib & t-shirt.

✔ You can run or walk at your own pace.

🐕 CAN I BRING MY DOG? 

Yes! Leashed dogs who are comfortable in large crowds are welcome to join you on Walk Day!
