About the Event
Experience the exhilaration of the 13th Annual Buckeye Marathon and its sister events—Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile Fun Run. This race is renowned for its fast-paced downhill course, which sees marathoners descend over 530 feet from start to finish at Festival Foothills Elementary School. The route then winds through the picturesque White Tank Mountains before concluding on the runway of Buckeye Municipal Airport. For runners opting for a shorter distance, the Half Marathon and 10K begin and end at the airport, offering stunning views of the rugged mountain scenery during their out-and-back course journey. Participants in the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will also start and finish at the airport, making this venue accessible to all levels. Certified by USATF, this event promises a precise and competitive experience. The marathon challenges participants with a six-hour closure time, requiring a minimum pace of 13:45 per mile. All events feature chip timing for accurate results. Proceeds from the race benefit the City of Buckeye Youth Scholarship Fund, ensuring local youth have opportunities to engage in enriching activities within their community. Should you be unable to participate as planned, there are options available. Until January 7th at 5 PM, registrants can switch to a virtual event.
