15. Brunsberglauf

Calling all runners to the majestic Brunsberg! On September 6, 2026, the 15th edition of this unique mountain race will take place. The centerpiece is an exhilarating 11.7 km course that winds through dense forests and vibrant heathlands on the slopes of Brunsberg.
In addition to the main event, runners can choose from a half marathon or a family-friendly 5km route around Mühlenteich Lake. Each course offers stunning scenery with highlights including the eerie Höllenschlucht ravine, the summit of Brunsberg itself, and the charming Zwergentunnel tunnel.
The race features special categories such as a mountain classification on Brunsberg for added challenge and team competitions in both the 5km and 11.7 km races. For younger participants, there are four different children's runs ranging from 0.3 to 2.5 kilometers tailored to various age groups.
After crossing the finish line at the Mühlenschule sports field in Buchholz/Holm-Seppensen, families can enjoy a vibrant post-race program complete with entertainment and activities for all ages. Over the years, proceeds from past events have contributed significantly to local community projects, including funding for the construction of the SV Holm-Seppensen's new sports facility.
