About the Event

Immerse yourself in the 14th Annual Shiner Beer Run, a vibrant race that not only challenges runners but also supports an important cause. This year’s edition offers three distances: Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K, each winding through the charming town of Shiner, Texas.
The course is designed to highlight the unique character of Shiner—rolling hills covered in lush greenery, historic downtown streets lined with quaint shops, welcoming neighborhoods filled with friendly locals, scenic Green-Dickson Park, stretches of peaceful countryside dotted with wildflowers, and a memorable stretch affectionately known as the "Manure Mile."
Every step taken during this race contributes to improving the lives of veterans and military families through donations made by the Boot Campaign. Your participation makes a real difference in supporting those who have served.
Awards are plentiful for top runners across various categories:
- Overall Male & Female (based on gun time)
- Masters Male & Female (based on gun time, also for participants aged 40+)
- Age Group Awards (12 divisions based on bib time)
Participants aiming to secure an overall or masters award should line up at the front of their respective starting lines. It’s important to note that only those who stick with their registered distance will be eligible for awards.
For runners looking to extend their visit, RV camping is available at Green-Dickson Municipal Park just outside Shiner. Spend a night or two and take advantage of all the town has to offer beyond the race course.
