16th Annual Bleeding Disorder Awareness 5K

Join the Southwestern Ohio Hemophilia Foundation as they host their 16th Annual Bleeding Disorder Awareness 5K on September 19 at Rice Field in Miamisburg, Ohio. This annual event aims to raise funds for individuals affected by blood disorders like hemophilia and Von Willebrand disease.
Participants can register online until race day with a fee of $25, which includes a commemorative shirt if registration is completed before September 11. Race day activities kick off at 8:30 am with packet pickup, followed by the start of the run or walk at 10 am sharp. The event concludes around noon when awards are presented to top finishers in various age groups.
The race course winds through Rice Field, offering runners and walkers a scenic route that showcases the charm of Miamisburg's natural landscapes. Post-race activities provide an opportunity for participants to connect with others who share similar interests and causes.
Awards will be given out at approximately 11 am to male and female winners in age categories ranging from under 9 years old up through 60+ years old, ensuring recognition across all levels of participation.
In the event that adverse weather conditions or public safety concerns arise, organizers reserve the right to either reschedule the race for a later date or convert it into a virtual run. In such cases, there will be no refunds offered and participants may pick up their shirts at an alternative future date as determined by the foundation.
For those who can no longer participate but wish to support the cause, transfers are allowed until September 11th. All proceeds from this event directly benefit individuals within the Southwestern Ohio Hemophilia Chapter, helping them lead healthier lives through community support and awareness initiatives.
