Welcome to the Duvenstedt Village Run, scheduled for October 3rd! Registration opens on August 1st and runs until September 29th. This charming race takes place in Alt Duvenstedt, with all start and finish lines at Grundschule Alt Duvenstedt located at Dorfstraße 13. The day begins early with the Stoppelflitzer event for children under six years old starting at 10:00 AM. These young runners will compete on a short 600-meter course, racing solo without parental supervision. At 10:20 AM, older kids aged 6 to 12 can participate in the Kinderlauf, a scenic 2.9-kilometer race along a yellow-marked route through picturesque countryside and village streets. The main event kicks off at 10:45 AM with the Hauptlauf for runners age ten and up on a challenging yet rewarding red course stretching over 10.6 kilometers. This run features kilometer markers to help participants track their progress, offering breathtaking views of the local landscape along its route. For those looking for something shorter but equally engaging, the Jedermannlauf at 11:00 AM offers a 5.5-kilometer blue course suitable for children aged eight and older as well as adults. This event is designed to cater to runners of all abilities who enjoy a less strenuous yet enjoyable distance. Nordic Walking enthusiasts can join in on the same route starting at 11:05 AM, also covering 5.5 kilometers but with the unique challenge of poles for added muscle engagement and cardiovascular benefits. Each event has its own entry limit to ensure an intimate and manageable race atmosphere: - Stoppelflitzer (up to 70 participants) - Kinderlauf (up to 110 participants) - Jedermannlauf (up to 190 participants) - Nordic Walking (up to 40 participants) - Hauptlauf (up to 160 participants) Entry fees range from €7 for the shorter races and Nordic Walking event, up to €11 for the longer distance Hauptlauf. Children born in or after 2012 are exempt from entry fees. Race results will be managed by Holger Ribbeck of wetzstopp.de, ensuring accurate timing and classification. Awards ceremonies follow each race with special recognition given to winners of individual categories. The first-place finishers receive certificates and prizes while all competitors can access their results online post-event at the official website: http://www.duvenstedter-dorflauf.de In case of unforeseen circumstances on event day, such as local restrictions or regulations from authorities, organizers reserve the right to make last-minute changes or cancel the race entirely. Join us for a memorable day filled with vibrant community spirit and scenic running routes at Duvenstedt Village Run.
