The SV Motor Tambach-Dietharz e.V., located on Apfelstädter Strasse 12, invites runners of all ages and abilities to participate in their annual race scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026. This event offers a variety of distances catering to young athletes as well as seasoned competitors. Registration opens on June 4, 2026, and continues until the evening of August 21, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Participants can choose from several categories including a one-kilometer Bambinilauf for children under seven years old born in or after 2019; a three-kilometer race for kids aged eight to eleven (born between 2018 and 2015); and a six-kilometer event for those twelve to fifteen years of age, also from the same birth year range. The main attraction is a challenging seventeen-kilometer course open to all competitors sixteen years or older born in or before 2010. Additionally, there's a twelve-kilometer Nordic Walking race designed for participants aged sixteen and above. Race day activities kick off at 8:30 AM with the opening of registration desks where runners can collect their starting materials. The races begin promptly at 10:00 AM with the start of the seventeen-kilometer main event, followed closely by the Nordic Walking race. Younger participants will have opportunities to compete in shorter distances, beginning with a one-kilometer run for the youngest competitors and six-kilometer races starting ten minutes later. Awards ceremonies are scheduled for 1:00 PM where winners from each age group and gender category across all events will be recognized. Prizes include top three placements overall as well as within specific age divisions for both male and female participants in longer race categories. Entry fees vary based on the event, ranging from €2 for young children to €17 for adults competing in the longest distance races. Late registrations incur an additional fee of €5 per participant.
