Celebrating 18 years of hope, healing, courage, and compassion. Since 2009, this non-competitive, family-friendly annual event has brought the community together for a meaningful walk/run through the Griffin Hospital neighborhood.Schedule:Check in/Same Day Registration: 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.Opening Remarks and Award Presentation: 8:45 a.m.Race Start Time: 9:00 a.m.End Time: 12:00 p.m.The event is RAIN or SHINE!All proceeds are dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized cancer care and to help ease the financial burden Griffin's cancer patients face as they undergo treatment.Email md'andrea@griffinhealth.org for more information.

Derby is a city in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States, approximately 8 miles (13 km) west-northwest of New Haven. It is located in southwest Connecticut at the confluence of the Housatonic and Naugatuck rivers. It shares borders with the cities of Ansonia to the north and Shelton to the southwest, and the towns of Orange to the south, Seymour to the northwest, and Woodbridge to the east. The city is part of the Naugatuck Valley Planning Region. The population was 12,325 at the 2020 census. It is the smallest city in Connecticut by area, at 5.3 square miles (14 km2).
