18TH Annual 5K Walk/Run for Cancer Center

The 18th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Cancer Center in Derby, Connecticut on September 19th is a beloved community event celebrating its 18 years of support and solidarity.
Race morning finds participants gathering at the Griffin Hospital neighborhood park. The route begins near the hospital’s main entrance, meandering through well-kept green spaces with occasional glimpses of trees lining the streets. The race covers a 5K Walk/Run course suitable for runners and walkers alike. The route starts from the hospital grounds and loops through scenic neighborhoods, providing participants with an enjoyable journey. On race day, check-in opens at 7:30 am, allowing last-minute registrants to join in. Race start is set for 9:00 am sharp; while it's RAIN or SHINE! aid stations will be strategically placed along the course.
