Experience the breathtaking beauty of New York's Catskill Mountains at THE 2025 TOUR OF THE CATSKILLS, celebrating its 18th year this August. Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 9, as you embark on a challenging yet rewarding cycling journey through some of nature’s most picturesque landscapes. Choose from three distinct routes: the demanding 74-mile course that winds through rugged terrain with over 5,000 feet in elevation gain and includes the notoriously steep Devil's Kitchen Climb; the more moderate 52-mile route featuring less than half the vertical ascent but still offering stunning vistas; or the exhilarating 27-mile ride which showcases a manageable climb of just under two thousand feet. For those unable to join us on-site, we offer a virtual option with GPS timing. Register early by July 25 for personalized bib numbers and guaranteed event T-shirts, along with other exclusive swag that will be revealed soon! The event kicks off in style on Friday, August 8, with an early check-in at Last Chance Antiques and Cafe from 6 to 8 PM. On Saturday morning, start your adventure anytime after 9 AM for the 74-mile route; join us later for the 52- or 27-mile distances beginning respectively at 10 and 11 AM. Post-race festivities are planned for an afternoon of celebration, featuring live music from Roadhouse at Last Chance Antiques and Cafe. Participants can start any distance at their convenience but must adhere to specific timing guidelines if seeking support services on the road. Safety is paramount; this non-competitive recreational ride requires all riders to follow traffic control signs and stay right or on the shoulder of the roads throughout your journey. Register now via our Ride with GPS event page to capture every moment of your ride! Parking for participants will be limited, so plan accordingly: Upper Lake Road in Tannersville is designated as the only parking area (a 5-minute walk from start/registration). Avoid the municipal lot near registration. Join us not just for a day out on two wheels but an adventure through some of New York's most scenic backdrops. Whether you're seasoned or new to cycling, The Tour of the Catskills promises an unforgettable experience amidst nature’s grandeur and hospitality.
