1st Freedom Run 440Km Mesolonghi – Nafplio, Greece

In May 2027, the inaugural FREEDOM RACE will trace an epic route from Messolonghi to Nafplio, Greece, spanning 440 kilometers over several days. This historic journey honors the bicentennial of the Exodus of Messolonghi in April 1826, when Greek defenders marched towards freedom and safety.
Participants face a grueling challenge with a strict 99-hour time limit, including mandatory stops at 55 supply points scattered along the route to ensure runners are well-restored. The race also features an unforgettable one-hour sea transfer segment that adds both logistical complexity and scenic beauty to this already demanding course.
Organized under the patronage of Western Greece, Central Greece, and Peloponnese regions, the FREEDOM RACE offers a blend of physical endurance and historical significance.
