The 2026 GCR Thanksgiving 5K | 1 Mile | Kids 1K & 100 Yard Dash in Naples, Florida, United States will be held on November 26th this year. The race is a beloved community event that has grown over the past decade, celebrating the spirit of giving and gathering with friends and family.
Race day finds runners setting off from downtown Naples at sunrise as the city awakens. With temperatures around 23 degrees Celsius, it's an ideal fall morning to lace up your shoes for a brisk walk or run through historic streets filled with local charm. As you navigate the course that starts on Fifth Avenue and weaves through the heart of Naples, take in the sights of quaint shops and homes adorned with festive decorations.
The 13th Annual GCR Thanksgiving Race is more than just a five-kilometer run; it's about tradition and community support. With over 500 participants expected this year, the event raises funds for St. Matthew’s House and supports youth development programs through scholarships. Don’t forget to bring your non-perishable donations as we collect items for those in need.
Course-wise, expect a challenging yet enjoyable experience with a hard and dry surface that offers a pleasant run or walk. The route starts on Fifth Avenue and winds its way through downtown Naples, offering runners the chance to enjoy the local landscape while contributing to worthy causes. Aid stations will be strategically placed along the course for water and energy gel refills.
On race day, packets can be picked up at Naples on the Run (20 10th St. S., Naples, FL 34102) from Tuesday, November 24th, to Wednesday, November 25th, between 11 AM-4 PM. For those who cannot make it before race day, packet pickup will be available on-site starting at 6 AM; however, due to limited space and time constraints, we recommend arriving early.
Start your journey near the back of the pack for a more leisurely pace or simply enjoy the route as you see others cross the official start line around 7:35 AM. This year’s race will benefit St. Matthew's House and our Youth Development/Scholarship Fund while also collecting canned goods for those in need.

Early bird pricing is available through November 18th; thereafter, the fee increases. Bib pickup will take place on race day from 6:00 AM to 7:25 AM at the starting line or Naples on the Run.
