2027 Augusta Half Marathon 10K 5K

This event, organized by the Augusta Sports Council (ASC), is more than a run; it's a tradition deeply rooted in the city’s rich sporting heritage. The ASC was established in 1991 with a vision to attract and support sports events that would enrich both the quality of life and economic well-being for Augusta residents. Every February, thousands come together to participate or cheer on runners as they race through the streets of their beloved hometown.
The course takes you from the scenic start at 2500 Walton Way into the heart of downtown Augusta where the landscape transforms with each mile. The terrain is firm and slightly soft, offering a challenge that makes every step count. Elevation changes are minimal but noticeable as runners navigate through the city's historic neighborhoods before heading back towards the finish line.
The race layout includes a single start/finish location at 2500 Walton Way where participants can easily access all necessary facilities. Along your journey, you'll encounter two aid stations strategically placed to ensure hydration and nutrition are always within reach. The course features several notable landmarks including the picturesque Augusta National Golf Club and historic buildings that tell the city's rich history.
As for weather preparation, expect temperatures around 12 degrees Celsius with a minimum of 6.8 degrees and a maximum of 17.9 degrees. Winds will be mild at an average speed of 10.9 km/h, but keep in mind the humidity level is high at 69.7%, so stay hydrated. Rainfall on race day averages just under three millimeters, providing a manageable amount for runners to prepare.
