2026 BINATIONAL RACE

Run through the unique landscapes of two countries during the 2026 Binational Race San Diego-Tijuana. Scheduled on October 25th, this half marathon invites participants to traverse a historic route that starts at Las Americas Park in San Ysidro and crosses into Mexico via the international checkpoint at San Yisdro – El Chaparral. The atmosphere is electric as you prepare for your journey, with an exciting blend of urban settings and rural landscapes awaiting.
The course offers runners picturesque views from the bustling cityscapes to more serene natural reserves like Tijuana River Valley Park. You'll enjoy a scenic route that includes paved roads and notable parks; at kilometer five, stop by this park before continuing into Mexico. By kilometer ten, you’ll return to the United States.
Weather conditions are anticipated to be mild with comfortable temperatures around 19.2°C (66°F), ranging from a minimum of 14.5°C (58°F) to a maximum of 23.9°C (75°F). Humidity levels will hover at 73.3%, and the wind is expected to be moderate, clocking in around 7.8 km/h.
Participants must register online by October 20th through https://raceroster.com/events/2026/111897/2026-binational-race for a fee of $84.48. Bibs can be collected on race day from Las Americas Park in San Ysidro starting at 5:30 AM.
First-time participants are advised to arrive early and carry their passports or Global Entry/Sentry Card, as required by U.S. Customs/Border Control for re-entry into the United States. The start line is located at Las Americas Park; age requirements apply but generally cater to all runners aged 16 years and over.
