2026 Death Valley Trail Marathon & Half Marathon

Titus Canyon Trail Run offers an unparalleled experience for runners seeking adventure and breathtaking scenery. This half marathon and full marathon course winds through one of Death Valley's most picturesque canyons, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and challenging terrain.
Participants will begin their journey at the West end where Titus Canyon intersects with Scotty's Castle Road. The 13-mile route for both races features a scenic descent into the canyon before reaching an aid station at mile 6.5 (for half marathon runners) or continuing to the more demanding 26.2-mile course that extends past this point.
Those who choose the full marathon will enjoy running through the canyons beyond the initial aid station, turning around at mile 8 and retracing their steps back towards the entrance of Titus Canyon by mile 13. They'll then face an exhilarating climb to a turnaround at mile 18 before descending once more into the canyon's depths.
Titus Canyon is renowned for its stunning desert landscapes, which come alive during this time of year with mild temperatures and vibrant flora. Nighttime lows hover between 30 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit while daytime highs range from the low-60s to mid-70s, providing ideal conditions for a memorable race.
This event is limited to just 200 participants due to National Park Service regulations, ensuring an intimate atmosphere where every runner can fully immerse themselves in the natural surroundings. The desert setting offers not only stunning vistas but also unique challenges that make this a truly special run.
