The Dragon Run returns for its 20th anniversary, promising another memorable day of community spirit and athletic camaraderie. This year's edition features a 5K run and a leisurely 1-mile walk through the heart of downtown Swedesboro. Participants can look forward to an afternoon filled with local flavors at food stalls, lively music performances by talented musicians, and engaging activities for all ages. The event not only celebrates fitness but also fosters community engagement in a vibrant setting that showcases Swedesboro’s charm. The proceeds from this year's race will support the Nathaniel Boerlin Scholarship Fund (NBSF), established to honor Nate Boerlin, an outstanding 16-year-old student and percussionist at Kingsway Regional High School. Tragically, Nate passed away in April 2007 due to complications from glioblastoma multiforme, a highly aggressive form of brain cancer. The scholarship fund aims to provide perpetual awards to KRHS graduates who demonstrate excellence in academics and music, reflecting Nate’s passions. Join us for an inspiring day that combines athletic achievement with meaningful support for the NBSF.
