Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Montgomery as you take on the Glassner Autumn Challenge. This year's event promises an unforgettable journey through picturesque Alabama landscapes and bustling cityscapes. The ride will commence rain or shine, with all participants encouraged to prepare for a full day of cycling. Participants can look forward to starting their adventure from the new ASU Football Stadium on Pineleaf Street in Montgomery at 7:15 AM for the Capital City 100 Course (100.2 miles), and at later intervals for shorter courses such as Mad Metric, Fabulous Fifties, Smell the Roses, Cruisin' in the City, Historic Neighborhood Ramble, and Closed Concourse. The event organizers have arranged a comprehensive schedule to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. A hearty breakfast will be served from 5:30 AM at the Hornets Lounge within the new ASU Football Stadium. Registration and check-in open between 5:45 AM and 8:45 AM, providing ample time for last-minute preparations. The ride day itself is meticulously planned to cater to all skill levels. The Capital City 100 Course will be marked with white road markings, while other courses like Mad Metric (67.2 miles) are denoted by green markers; Fabulous Fifties (54.9 miles), Smell the Roses (34.5 miles), Cruisin' in the City (17.0 miles), and Historic Neighborhood Ramble (5.5 miles) will be marked with orange, yellow, blue, and red respectively. For those who need to transfer their registration or request a rider packet due to unforeseen circumstances, the event offers flexibility by allowing transfers up until the day of the ride. However, if severe weather threatens, the ride may be canceled and rescheduled at a later date. The day’s activities will conclude with a rest stop from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM in various locations around Montgomery, ensuring that participants have ample time to refuel and recover before crossing the finish line. The course officially closes at 5:45 PM, with emergency contact notifications starting for riders who fail to check out by this time. Glassner Autumn Challenge is committed to providing a well-supported, fun, and safe event experience. With an all-volunteer crew and generous sponsors, you can expect nothing but the best from start to finish.
