2026 Great Big Group Ride for Pediatric Cancer

Join the 9th Annual Great Big Group Ride (GBGR), presented by Frank Armetta State Farm, and support local kids battling cancer while enjoying a scenic ride through the Lehigh Valley. This year’s event features two routes: the Metric Century (62 miles) and the Metric Half Century (31 miles). Both rides promise breathtaking views of farmland, covered bridges, and rolling hills.
Participants must park at Independence Park and follow signs to Fitness Central for their start point. Mandatory safety gear includes a helmet; bring your own water bottle and carry a spare tube. The ride is not competitive but rather a joyful community event. Mechanical support will be available courtesy of Bob Brien's Revolutions Mobile Bicycle Repair, with pick-up services on course if needed.
The Metric Century route offers 2 rest stops for hydration at miles 24 and 48, along with an early-out option. Expect approximately 4600' in elevation gain, challenging climbs, thrilling descents, and picturesque covered bridges. In-ride challenges and contests will keep the atmosphere lively and engaging.
For those joining later, the Metric Half Century starts at 10:00 a.m., offering about 2000' of elevation gain with rolling hills and beautiful scenery. A rest stop is conveniently located at mile 14 for refreshments.
Arrive early to enjoy free coffee and bagels before your ride begins. Post-ride, savor a gourmet cook-out generously provided by Whitehall Diner and Fitness Central. Volunteers are needed; sign up
