2026 John Wichers MRA Family Ice Cream Run #2

Experience the vibrant charm of Winnipeg's diverse neighborhoods at the John WichersMRA Family Ice Cream Run Series, where families and friends can enjoy six exhilarating runs through picturesque settings. Each event offers a unique blend of scenic routes and community spirit.
Starting on July 8th in Crescent Drive Park, runners will be greeted by lush greenery and friendly smiles as they kick off the series with a leisurely stroll or brisk jog around the park's well-maintained trails. The next stop is Hespeler Park on July 15th, where participants can explore the natural beauty of this expansive greenspace, complete with playgrounds and picnic areas.
On July 22nd, head to Transcona Trail in Park City West CC for a series highlight that combines urban charm with rural tranquility. This event promises a mix of paved paths and parkland pathways, offering both young and old runners the perfect pace to enjoy the scenery without breaking stride.
August brings the chance to run through Morden Park on August 5th, where visitors can experience the serene beauty of this park nestled in Manitoba’s rolling countryside. The final two events take place closer to home: Grant's Old Mill on Sturgeon Creek Parkway on August 12th and Bunn's Creek Park on August 26th.
Each run is a standalone event with its own unique route, but participants can also earn points towards the 2026 MRA Youth Race Series. Online registration is available year-round at mraweb.ca, while on-site sign-ups are permitted between 5:30-6:30pm on race days.
