2026 Kal Park 9K

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park at the Kal Park Cross Country Races on Sunday, October 25th, 2026. The event features two race options designed to cater to runners and walkers alike: a challenging 9K run and a family-friendly 2.5K fun run.
The 9K course offers an exhilarating journey through the park's diverse terrain. Starting at Jade/Juniper beach parking area, participants will encounter single-track switchbacks that lead down towards Cosen’s Bay Beach. The route continues across rolling grassland meadows and ascends Rattlesnake Hill before descending again on 'Comin' Round the Mountain' trail back to the finish line. This cupless race requires runners to carry their own water supply, adding an extra layer of challenge.
For those looking for a shorter but equally scenic run, the 2.5K fun run is perfect for both adults and children. The course provides stunning views over Kal Lake while maintaining accessibility for all ages and skill levels.
Both races start near Jade/Juniper beach parking lot within Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park in Coldstream. Race day amenities include outdoor washrooms at the starting line, medical support on site, and refreshments like hot chocolate, coffee, and snacks available post-race. Participants can also look forward to age group awards and draw prizes for all 9K racers.
Registration is online only with no race-day sign-ups accepted. Entry fees are $30 for adults (BCA members receive a discounted rate of $25) and $10 for the fun run category. The registration window closes on Saturday, October 24th at 6:00 PM PST. Race packages can be picked up from race site starting at 8:30 AM until 9:45 AM.
