2026 Kirkland Turkey Trot

On November 15th, the beloved annual Kirkland Turkey Trot returns to downtown Kirkland, offering runners from all backgrounds a chance to enjoy scenic routes through picturesque parks and historic landmarks. The race features four distinct distance options: two full 10K paths—one for adults and one specifically designed for students—and a pair of 5K courses catering equally well to both adult and student participants.
The event begins at Juanita Bay Park, the heart of Kirkland’s downtown area. Early November mornings bring crisp conditions that invigorate runners as they embark on their journey through this charming park. Highlights include the historic Market Street Bridge, which stands not only as a scenic landmark but also marks the halfway point for 10K participants, offering breathtaking views over Lake Washington and Seattle's skyline.
For those preferring shorter distances, both 5K courses provide equally captivating scenery. They wind through Juanita Bay Park’s well-maintained paths before crossing Market Street Bridge, then return to the starting point via the same bridge after all 10K races have concluded, ensuring a seamless experience for everyone.
Weather conditions on race day are expected to be comfortable with temperatures around 6.2°C and high humidity at 88%, but a gentle northwest breeze keeps runners cool and ensures manageable weather throughout. Precipitation is not anticipated, guaranteeing clear skies and pleasant running conditions.

Early bird rates are $50.67 for adult 10K participants and student registrants, while the 5K distances cost slightly less at $34.52 (students) and $50.67 (adults). Race bibs will be distributed from Moss Bay Hall in downtown Kirkland starting at 7:30 AM on race day, and participants should bring their confirmation emails or printed registration details for easy pickup. The event has age requirements; runners must be at least 16 years old to participate in full or half 10K distances and should wear appropriate running gear.
