2026 Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race

About the Event

The Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race (MOMAR) takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM PDT in Cumberland, BC, Canada. This 46th edition of the 26-year-old event pushes mind and body to the edge in the rugged forests and shorelines of Vancouver Island, featuring world-class single-track mountain bike trails, breathtaking terrain, and ocean views. Basic map reading and navigation skills are required to find all checkpoints.

Quest Course (20K)
Team of 2 • Paddle + trek only (no biking) • Navigation required

Sport Course (30K)
Team of 2 • Paddle + trek + mountain bike

Enduro Course (50K)
Solo / Team of 2 / Team of 4 • Paddle + trek + mountain bike

Race Formats & Team Categories:

Quest 20K — Mixed, Men, Women (teams of 2 only)
Sport 30K — Mixed, Men, Women (teams of 2 only)
Enduro 50K — Solo (Men/Women), Teams of 2 (Mixed/Men/Women), Teams of 4 (Mixed/Men/Women)

Trailblazer Pricing — January 1 – February 2
Adventurer Pricing — February 2 – August 3 (currently active)
Final Ascent Pricing — August 3 – September 18

NEW for 2025 — paddle and trek only, no mountain biking.
Fast-paced challenge for adventure seekers.
Basic map reading and navigation skills required.
