8th Annual Puppy Love 5k

Join us for an unforgettable day at Commons Park on February 13, 2026, as we celebrate our eighth annual Puppy Love 5k Race and Walk. This heartwarming event offers runners and walkers the chance to support animal rescue efforts while enjoying a scenic course through Royal Palm Beach.
Located at 11600 Poinciana Blvd in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, Commons Park provides a picturesque backdrop for this family-friendly race. Participants can expect an early morning start with check-in beginning at 7:00 AM. The day's festivities will kick off around 7:45 AM with the national anthem before the race officially starts at 8:00 AM.
Race participants and their furry friends are invited to join in on a variety of activities, including costume contests for both humans and pets, raffle drawings featuring amazing prizes from generous sponsors, and vendor booths offering unique products. Early registrants can take advantage of group discounts when signing up with four or more individuals.
The race course winds through the park's beautiful trails, providing runners with stunning views and a chance to explore this vibrant space. Course maps will be sent out ahead of time so participants can familiarize themselves with the route. On-site volunteers and clear signage ensure that everyone stays on track during the event.
In addition to the main 5k race, there is also an option for those who prefer a more relaxed pace or simply want to stroll alongside their pets in costume. The virtual race allows individuals to complete the distance at their own convenience from any location they choose.
The day will feature live music by DJ Rizz and engaging commentary from our emcee to keep everyone motivated throughout the event. Photo opportunities abound, with professional photographer Leonard Bryant capturing memorable moments for participants to cherish long after the race is over.
Those interested in adopting a new furry friend can meet some of Barky Pines' adorable adoptable pets at their booth during the race. Barky Pines, an animal rescue and sanctuary based in Loxahatchee, Florida, aims to save lives by rescuing animals that might otherwise be euthanized due to pet overpopulation.
