Welcome to the inaugural Outer Banks Century (OBXC), an exceptional cycling journey through North Carolina’s picturesque Outer Banks. This fully supported ride is organized by the One More Mile Foundation, dedicated to raising funds and awareness for children battling cancer. The OBXC offers a single century route of 100 miles, carefully marked and equipped with comprehensive support along the way. Participants can expect rest stops that are well-stocked with supplies, SAG vehicles ready to assist when needed, and professional ride support available throughout the journey. Included in your package is an event t-shirt (while supplies last), complimentary refreshments at the finish line, a commemorative item marking your achievement, and access to mechanical assistance if required. Safety and preparedness are paramount for all riders. Helmets must be worn, traffic laws strictly followed, and headphones discouraged for safety reasons. Riders should also carry basic tools such as tire levers or patch kits in case of minor issues like flat tires. Weather conditions will not deter the event; it will proceed rain or shine unless organizers deem them unsafe due to severe weather warnings. Your participation directly supports pediatric cancer research and support programs, making every pedal count towards a brighter future for children facing this challenge. For more information on packet pickup details, ride guides, parking instructions, and final route maps, registered participants will receive these via email prior to the event. Any queries can be directed to the OBXC organizers or found on their official website. Join us in creating miles of hope for kids fighting cancer by riding with us this weekend.
