Pershore Plum 10k Race Experience the scenic beauty and rich heritage of Pershore on Sunday, August 30th, 2026, with the annual Pershore Plum 10k race. The event offers runners a flat yet varied course that showcases both urban charm and picturesque countryside. Course Details The chip-timed route begins at Pershore Leisure Centre before winding through historic Pershore High Street and crossing over the river into the serene fields surrounding Wick. Runners will enjoy a mix of paved roads, paths through lush meadows, and scenic trails that offer glimpses of rolling hills and verdant landscapes. The race concludes in Abbey Park with stunning views of the impressive Pershore Abbey. Race Day Logistics Registration takes place at Pershore Leisure Centre starting from 8:00 AM on race day, where runners collect their numbers and chips. Parking is available near the start venue; car sharing is encouraged to minimize traffic congestion within town limits. Detailed directions will be provided in a pre-race e-brief sent to participants' email addresses. Event Highlights - Start Line: The mass start occurs promptly at 9:00 AM, with runners positioned according to their anticipated pace. - Water Stations: Two water stations are strategically placed along the route for hydration. Additional support may be provided if weather conditions dictate. - Support Services: A team of marshals and directional signs guide participants throughout the course. First aid assistance is available at both start/finish areas, with a mobile first aider patrolling during the race. Entry Information Entries are managed exclusively through Entry Central until Wednesday, August 26th, or once capacity (325 runners) has been reached on a first-come-first-served basis. The entry fee is £20 for UK Athletics affiliated members and £22 for non-affiliated participants, including booking fees. Prizes & Rewards All finishers receive a commemorative medal, a bottle of water, and a fresh plum from the local orchards as part of their prize package. Age category awards are also given to the first male and female in each division based on chip timing results.
