The 9th Annual RiNo 5K + Larimer Mile, presented by Altra, invites runners and walkers to explore Denver's vibrant River North Art District on September 12th. This community-driven race is not just a run; it’s an opportunity to support Back on My Feet, a charity dedicated to empowering individuals experiencing homelessness through running. Participants can choose between the challenging 5K route or the more accessible Larimer Mile. Both courses wind through Denver's most dynamic neighborhood, offering runners stunning street art and unique urban landscapes. The event promises a day filled with community spirit, as participants of all abilities come together for fitness and fun. Registration includes professional timing on a USATF-certified course for 5K runners, free finisher photos, shareable results, and exclusive discounts at Topo Designs' flagship store in RiNo on race day. For those over the age of 21, enjoy a complimentary drink ticket post-race to celebrate your achievement. The event also features an optional team competition with points awarded based on top male and female placements in both races. There are awards for overall winners as well as masters and age group distinctions in the 5K race. Don't miss out on this chance to experience Denver's artistic flair while supporting a worthy cause. Whether you're aiming for personal bests or simply enjoying the run, the RiNo 5K + Larimer Mile offers an engaging day of community engagement and athletic camaraderie. About Denver
Learn more about the host city, Denver.
Denver is the capital of the western U.S. state of Colorado and the dominant city of the Rocky Mountain Region. Founded in 1858 as the placer gold mining camp known as the Cherry Creek Diggings, the "Mile-High City" is today the most populous city within a 560-mile (900 km) radius and the center of the Front Range Urban Corridor of more than five million residents. Denver embraces its cowboy and mining past but also looks toward the future with a vibrant arts and performing arts scene, dozens of great outdoor festivals, and distinct neighborhoods each offering a unique experience. You'll find everything a cosmopolitan city has to offer including a spectacular view of and easy access to the beautiful Rocky Mountains, which arise only 12 miles (19 km) west of the Colorado State Capitol.
