The Sixth Annual White Pine Ride, organized by the Rotary Club of Cadillac, invites cyclists from all skill levels to explore the stunning beauty of Michigan's trails. Held on September 19, 2026, this event offers four distinct routes—ranging from a leisurely 12-mile loop through Turtle Pond Family Cruise to the challenging Tough Enough Tour covering an impressive 83 miles. Starting at the downtown Cadillac city parking lot south of the Rotary Performing Arts pavilion, participants can choose among various distances: Turtle Pond Family Cruise for those seeking a gentle ride, Tustin Pleasure Peddler with its brief gravel section, Reed City Ride offering a more substantial challenge, and Tough Enough Tour providing an ultimate test. Along the way, riders will enjoy scenic views and rest stops in Hobart, Tustin, Reed City, and Big Rapids. Upon returning to Cadillac, they can look forward to a complimentary picnic lunch, ensuring that both body and spirit are well-nourished after their journey. Safety is paramount on this ride, with no fixed start times; riders may begin anytime before the morning concludes. This inclusive approach makes it suitable for cyclists of all ages and abilities, fostering camaraderie among participants as they navigate through a trail recognized nationally by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy. Proceeds from the event support ongoing White Pine Trail development and Rotary Club charities, including recent installations such as picnic shelters at E 44 Road trailhead and safety signs on critical road crossings. These enhancements aim to create a safer and more inviting environment for all users of the trail. For those eager to join in this memorable experience, registration comes with complimentary t-shirts and lunch; packets can be picked up from September 18 evening or after 7:30 am on ride day at the downtown market. Sponsors are also celebrated through logo placements on shirts and the official website. With more information available online at whitepineride.org, prospective riders can register now to ensure their spot in this unique cycling event.
