Soul Tea Foundation’s mission is to empower individuals facing financial and social challenges by offering them pathways towards personal growth and success through self-discovery workshops, life planning sessions, and support networks. The foundation's initiatives culminate in the annual Soul Tea Run at Martin House Brewing Company, located at 220 S Sylvania Ave #209 in Fort Worth, Texas. The event is designed to be inclusive and engaging for all ages, with activities that cater to both runners and casual participants alike. Race day begins early on October 3rd with packet pickup from 7:00 AM until race time, allowing ample opportunity for last-minute preparations or adjustments before the run. At 8:00 AM, a one-mile fun run kicks off, followed closely by the main event – the 5K Run/Walk starting at 8:30 AM. The course is flat and well-suited for runners of all abilities, with chip timing to ensure accurate results. Participants who register early can secure their spot at discounted rates; those opting to sign up on race day will pay a slightly higher fee. The event concludes around 9:30 AM when the tap room opens exclusively for participants over 21 years old, offering two craft beers included with registration – just bring your ID. Additionally, free snacks and refreshments are available throughout the morning, along with an excellent raffle featuring prizes awarded to all attendees who receive a swag bag. In addition to the competitive spirit, there’s also a focus on community engagement through a dedicated kids zone where younger participants can enjoy activities tailored specifically for them while their older counterparts compete. The race awards ceremony honors overall male and female winners as well as runners in various age categories from 12 & under up to 80 years old. All finishers receive custom finisher medals, making the Soul Tea Run an unforgettable experience that combines personal achievement with a commitment to empowering those who need it most. Whether you’re there for the challenge or simply to enjoy the camaraderie and support offered by this unique event, everyone leaves feeling inspired and connected to something bigger than themselves. For registration details and pricing information, visit the Soul Tea Foundation website before October 2nd at 6 PM (Central Time) or register in person on race day from 7-8 AM. Don't miss out on being part of a community that values hard work, perseverance, and mutual support – join us for an uplifting morning of running, celebration, and giving back.
