2026 Stride to SAVE Lives 5k/10k

Stride to SAVE Lives 5k/10k is set to take place at Minneapolis, Minnesota on the 1st of August. The course itself begins at Lake Harriet Park, where runners will enjoy the hard and dry surface underfoot as they follow a well-marked route that loops around the lake multiple times for both distances. The 10km (ten kilometers) and 5k (five-kilometer race) courses share much of their path but diverge near the halfway mark to complete their respective distances.
On race day, expect mild temperatures with a comfortable feel due to low humidity levels. The typical August weather in Minneapolis means runners should prepare for conditions around 22 degrees Celsius and an average wind speed of ten kilometers per hour. There’s also a chance of light rain, so it's wise to bring waterproof gear if necessary. As you run through the course, you'll notice the trail surface is hard but dry – ideal for comfortable pacing.To register, visit this link by July 31st at 1pm for online registration. On-site registration is available from 8am to 8:45am on race day, but free T-shirts are limited to the first 500 registrants. Be sure to bring a photo ID and any necessary items such as water bottles or sports bras.
