2026 Summer Boudicca Way 50km Ultra

The Summer Boudicca Way 50km Ultramarathon returns for its third year, offering runners and walkers an unforgettable journey along the historic trail of Norfolk. This beginner-friendly route stretches from Diss to Norwich, following the scenic path of the Boudicca Way Long Distance Path.
Participants will start at Hope Church in Diss at 8:30 AM with a generous ten-hour window to reach the finish line in Trowse, Norwich. The race is limited to just 250 participants and requires runners to be at least 20 years old on race day.
The route winds through picturesque villages such as Pulham Market, Fritton, Saxlingham, Stoke Holy Cross, and Caistor St Edmund, providing a delightful mix of rural landscapes and charming English towns. With easy transport links from both the start and finish points—railway stations are within walking distance—the event is accessible to all.
Registration includes entry into the race, with an additional option for runners to purchase official merchandise like t-shirts directly at sign-up. The organizers emphasize inclusivity by welcoming participants regardless of gender or non-binary identity, ensuring a supportive environment for everyone involved.
In terms of logistics and policies, deferrals are not permitted but transfers between participants can be arranged until midday on Saturday, September 5th, 2026. For added peace of mind, runners have the option to purchase XCover insurance, which offers refunds in case unforeseen circumstances prevent participation.
The event is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics Rules, adhering strictly to their guidelines for a safe and fair competition.
