The Sunbuild Top End Gran Fondo presents an exhilarating challenge for cyclists of all levels, offering four distinct routes through stunning landscapes around Darwin. The 135km course winds its way across three loops, including a scenic passage through the Charles Darwin National Park. Ideal for those who have previously tackled the 100km route and are seeking to push their limits even further, this year’s edition promises an unforgettable journey. For riders looking to extend their reach beyond last year's half Fondo course, the 88km Inpex Top End Fondo offers two loops of the same scenic terrain. This intermediate distance serves as a perfect stepping stone for those who have completed shorter rides in previous years and wish to test their endurance on this extended route. Families and friends can enjoy the Darwin Family Law Half Fondo, which covers 41km over one full loop of the new course. With no cars allowed along its entirety, cyclists are free from traffic concerns while navigating through picturesque areas around Charles Darwin National Park. The event also includes a unique sponsorship element: Darwin Family Law offers $500 to any Member of Parliament participating in either the 88km or 135km rides for their chosen charity. For those just starting out, the AANT Top End Short Fondo presents an accessible entry point at only 15km. Starting from the vibrant Darwin Waterfront and heading into Charles Darwin National Park before returning to the waterfront, this ride is perfect for school kids, community groups, or anyone new to cycling looking for a safe environment to test their skills. Additionally, parents can enter the 15km event alongside their children at no cost, though they will not receive an official event bag or timing chip. The family-friendly 5km Gonzales Road ride provides another opportunity for young riders and beginners to experience the joy of cycling in a secure setting without traffic interference. Earlybird entrants are guaranteed to have their preferred jersey sizes available on race day, ensuring that all participants can proudly wear their commemorative gear during this memorable event. The first 200 registrants will also receive exclusive TEGF bags and drink bottles as part of the registration perks, making it an even more rewarding experience. With its diverse range of distances catering to various levels of expertise, the Sunbuild Top End Gran Fondo offers something for everyone in a beautiful setting that showcases Darwin’s natural beauty.
