2026 Thanks For Giving Day Run

On Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, the Friedman Jewish Community Center and NEPA Racing invite runners of all abilities to participate in the Ben August Memorial Thanks For Giving Day Run5K. The race kicks off at 9:00 a.m., offering participants an opportunity to lace up their shoes amidst the festive spirit of gratitude.
This event is part of the larger 2026 JCC Race Series, which culminates with a celebratory gathering in December for those who complete all three series races. The run/walk route winds through scenic routes near the community center and promises an engaging experience for both runners and walkers alike. Regardless of weather conditions, this event will proceed rain or shine.
For those unable to attend but still wish to contribute, their registration fees are considered donations in support of local benefactors. Race participants can also show their spirit by purchasing from the Swag Store at shop.getsomespirit.com/TFGDR5K until December 4th, where a variety of race apparel is available including hoodies, tees, long sleeves, moisture-wicking items, hats, beanies, stickers, and magnets. All purchases will be delivered within two to three weeks after the event.
