Step up for the environment this fall at Trail Party, an exciting fundraising initiative set to take place on September 20, 2026. This year's edition aims to protect environmentally sensitive lands within Waterloo Region and Wellington County by raising $50,000 in support of rare’s ongoing efforts. Participants can choose between walking, hiking, or running through scenic trails that wind their way past diverse ecosystems home to over 5,400 species of flora and fauna. The event is not only a chance to enjoy the great outdoors but also an opportunity to contribute to preserving these vital natural spaces for future generations. Registration includes access to educational stations along the route where you can learn more about conservation efforts and local wildlife. Upon completing your chosen distance, expect a hearty BBQ lunch at the ECO Centre, live music performances, and shuttle service back to Riverbluffs Park. Children aged 12 and under are admitted free of charge. To maximize impact, participants are encouraged to share their passion for nature with friends, family, and colleagues through social media or personal networks, inviting them to donate towards your fundraising goal. Each participant who raises over $100 (or $50 for kids) will receive an exclusive 2026 Bandana donated by Civilian Screen Printing.
