2027 Frozen Paw 5K

Join us for the 2027 Frozen Paw 5K presented by United Wholesale Mortgage, an icy winter tradition that takes place during Rochester's annual Fire & Ice Festival. This race is more than just a run; it’s a powerful initiative to support Leader Dogs for the Blind and their vital mission of providing guide dogs and life-changing services at no cost to individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Participants will gather in Downtown Rochester on January 17, 2027, where they can expect cold temperatures but warm spirits. The event offers a chance to push personal limits while raising awareness for an important cause. Whether you're racing solo or with friends and family, every step contributes to making a difference in the lives of those who rely on guide dogs.
This year marks the return of the 2-Day Frozen Paw Expo at Leader Dog’s campus. Race weekend kicks off with packet pickup, exclusive event merchandise, local vendors, interactive experiences, and opportunities to learn more about how your participation supports the mission of providing essential services for people in need.
A common start and finish line experience has been added this year, uniting runners, walkers, volunteers, and spectators at one central location. This ensures everyone can celebrate each milestone together amidst the vibrant atmosphere of Rochester’s Fire & Ice Festival.
Bundle up and join 1,100 fellow participants as you navigate through Downtown Rochester under a blanket of winter magic. The race course winds past iconic landmarks while offering stunning views of ice sculptures and festive lights that illuminate the city during this unique event.
