Experience the magic of St. Patrick's Day with the Fourth Annual Moonlight Beach Half Marathon, held at the picturesque Moonlight State Beach. This half marathon offers runners an opportunity to celebrate while contributing to a noble cause.
The Shamrock Run 10k adds a festive touch with its green-themed atmosphere, making your run through Encinitas even more enjoyable. The scenic route along the Pacific Ocean provides breathtaking views and a memorable experience for all participants.

2nd Place: $200

New this year, the event introduces age bracket winners for both the Half Marathon and 10k. Top finishers in specific age groups will receive a free entry to next year's race.
Proceeds from this marathon support VANC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of veterans and their families by reducing PTSD and veteran suicide rates.

The town has a main street that looks to be right out of a George Lucas 1950s movie scene, including a city name sign spanning the Coast Highway that welcomes visitors arriving into the north end of town from Carlsbad.
