The Silver Moon Race is where runners of all levels come to chase big goals and have an unforgettable adventure chasing miles under the full moon and stars. Elevate your running and endurance on a gorgeous course through Central California’s orchards and vineyards along the Kings River. Your challenge, your pace, your night.
Whether you’re stepping up from half marathons or diving into the world of ultras, or going for your first 100-mile buckle, this race gives you the perfect environment to push your endurance and discover what you’re capable of.
Timed on the weekend closest to the full moon, the race begins at sunset and carries you through a night lit by moonlight and stars into the sunrise on the horizon. It’s a uniquely magical experience that keeps runners coming back year after year.
How many laps can you run in 6, 12, or 24-hours? Test your endurance and build up your distance in a 2.5-mile lap race, or go for the 100-mile distance.
The course takes you through vineyards, fruit orchards, under the canopy of massive oak trees, and along the Kings River in Reedley, CA.
The race will start at sunset and run into the night under the vibrant glow of the full moon and stars plus sections of the course will be illuminated.

Reedley is in the San Joaquin Valley of California 25 miles southeast of Fresno. Reedley is a centerpiece of the Blossom Trail, a 62-mile informal system of roads through which, in the spring, tourists travel on a self-guided tour through a large swath of Fresno County to admire the white, red, and pink fruit blossoms from almond, plum, apricot, peach, nectarine, apple, and citrus blossoms. Reedley hosts annual Blossom Trail bike rides, 10k runs, car shows, and art festivals.
