Experience the 5th Annual MTHCC Summer Sizzle from May 27 to May 30, 2027. Hosted by the Major Taylor Houston Cycling Club at Christia Adair Park in Houston, this vibrant cycling event promises four days of unforgettable rides and community engagement. Riders will gather for scenic flat routes, social events, delicious food, live music, and an energetic atmosphere that celebrates all things cycling. Whether you're challenging yourself or simply enjoying the ride, the Summer Sizzle offers a unique blend of on-bike adventures and off-road activities designed to bring cyclists together in Houston's vibrant landscape. The event kicks off with the Shake the Lactate Ride on Thursday evening, followed by the Breakfast Klub social gathering on Friday. Saturday highlights THE MAIN EVENT - TIME TO SET IT ON FIRE - an exhilarating ride through Christia Adair Park. The weekend concludes with a relaxed recovery spin known as "The Sizzle Fizzle" on Sunday. Registration includes a welcome swag bag from MTHCC, a sizzling finisher medal for those who complete the Saturday ride, and a commemorative t-shirt. Early registration comes with special bonuses; keep an eye out for early bird offers! Supportive accommodations are available at two conveniently located hotels near the event site, perfect for out-of-town guests. Safety measures include traffic control by local law enforcement, SAG vehicles monitoring all routes, mandatory helmet use, and no-earphone policies to ensure a safe ride.
