2027 Surf City Marathon Presented by Biofreeze

About the Event

Set against the stunning backdrop of vibrant Tokyo, the Cherry Blossom Marathon invites runners to experience one of Japan's most picturesque events. Participants will traverse through historic districts and cutting-edge urban landscapes as they make their way along this celebrated route.
Starting in the heart of Ueno Park, where cherry blossoms create a breathtaking pink canopy over head, competitors begin under an array of blooming trees that paint each step with beauty. The course weaves its way past famous landmarks such as Tokyo Station and through neighborhoods rich in tradition and cultural heritage before heading into areas known for their modern skyscrapers and high-tech innovations.
Throughout the race day, runners will be supported by enthusiastic crowds along stretches featuring live music stations to lift spirits at every turn.
