21. Fischerfestlauf für Sportbegeisterte

On the bustling Saturday of Gernsheim's annual Fischerfest, August 1st promises to be an exciting day for runners and spectators alike as the town transforms into a vibrant race venue. This year marks a significant shift with earlier start times across all events.
The festivities kick off at noon with the Kidslauf, a fun 2-kilometer run designed specifically for young participants. Immediately following is the Walking event at 12:45 PM, offering a leisurely yet challenging 7-kilometer course through picturesque streets and historic landmarks. At 13:00 PM, the Jedermannlauf welcomes runners of all ages with its accessible 4-kilometer route. The main attraction comes later in the afternoon when the gates open for the traditional Hauptlauf at 14:30 PM.
Competitors can enjoy a familiar course that winds through Gernsheim's heart and beyond. Starting from the town stadium, runners journey towards Kiesloch before embarking on an invigorating loop around the central streets lined with charming buildings and bustling crowds. The route includes segments along Burgunder-, Marien- und Zwingenberger Straße, providing a scenic backdrop of local heritage.
