21.Korschenbroicher Waldlauf

The Korschenbroich Race Calendar offers runners of all ages and abilities the chance to experience a scenic race through the heart of Korschenbroich. The event takes place at Sportplatz "Waldstadion" where participants will enjoy running on well-maintained paths around lush forest areas, providing both beauty and challenge.
The program includes various distances tailored for different age groups:
- Bambini (2019 and younger) run a short lap of approximately 400 meters.
- Children in the U10 and U12 categories compete on a slightly longer course with about 1.3 kilometers.
- Youth participants aged U14, U16, and U18 tackle a medium-length route covering roughly 2.3 kilometers.
- Older youth runners from U18 to U20 can choose between one or two large loops of around 5 kilometers each.
For adults, there are options for both competitive running distances:
- A women's/men’s race over the larger loop at about 5 kilometers and another challenging option covering twice that distance.
- Additionally, a walking category is available with similar routes to those used by runners in the 5-kilometer races.
Participants must note that spiked shoes are not permitted on this track. The start and finish lines for all events take place right within the confines of Sportplatz Korschenbroich "Waldstadion".
Registration can be completed online through www.korschenbroicherlc.de or www.raceresult.com until September 28, 2026. Late entries are possible up to half an hour before the race start for a reduced fee.
The event offers exciting opportunities beyond just running:
- A raffle with attractive prizes benefits youth programs at KLC.
- Medals and certificates await top finishers in specific age categories as well as walkers who place first through third.
- All Bambini participants receive a medal upon completion of their race.

For those traveling, access points include A46 (Kapellen), A52 (Schiefbahn), A57 (Neuss-Büttgen) and S8 Hagen-Mönchengladbach via train. Parking is available at Waldstadion Parkplatz Gymnasium or Matthias-Hoeren-Platz near the Sandkuhle area.
