22nd Annual Catonsville High School XC Turkey Trot

On a crisp autumn morning in the picturesque town of Catonsville, Maryland, runners and families gather for MedStar Health's 22nd Annual CHS XC Turkey Trot. This long-standing tradition brings together community members to celebrate health, wellness, and family through friendly competition on a scenic course. The race offers both a 1-mile family fun run starting at 8:10 am and a 5k (3.1 miles) race beginning shortly after. Both events are chip timed for accuracy.
The morning of the event sees Catonsville waking up to clear skies and temperatures ranging from a low of 4.3°C in the early hours to a high of 13.4°C by mid-morning, with a comfortable feel like temperature around 7.1°C. The air is crisp and invigorating as runners take their places on the course that winds through local parks and residential areas, providing a beautiful backdrop for this community event.
The race has been a cornerstone of Catonsville’s fall calendar since its inception in 2005.
