21st Owase Sea and Mountain Two-Day Walk (第21回 おわせ海・山ツーデーウォーク)

About the Event

This walking event in Owase City follows World Heritage trails, among them the Kumano Kodo, the ancient pilgrimage road, and takes in the town's history and natural surroundings. Many participant perks are included.
Six main courses range from 10.5 km to 23 km. Course A, at 23 km, crosses Magose Pass and the Inohana level path and is a certified route in the 500 Selected Beautiful Walking Paths of Japan passport program. Others take in Iwaya-do, the Choshi River, the full Hachiki Mountain section and the waterfalls and blue sea of Yukinoura. Limited-entry group walks include a 3.2 km guided town walk with local guides (first 30 people), an 11 km Magose Pass and Tengura Mountain route (first 40) and an 8.7 km Ugo Pass and Owase water route (first 40).
